Ho un’ottima memoria, chi mi conosce lo sa. Ricordo ad esempio i numeri di telefono dei ragazzi che sono stati in classe con me e di anni non ne ho pochi. Ho però un modo molto particolare per ricordare episodi della mia vita: li associo alle partite del Napoli . E il primo di questi ricordi, del quale ovviamente non vi parlerò, è legato alla mia prima partita allo stadio: campionato 1974-75, Napoli-Juventus 2-6. Ma come mi direte, sei un tifoso del Napoli e la prima partita di cui ci parli è una sconfitta pesantissima proprio contro quelli là? Sì, perché fu la mia prima partita allo stadio e fu una folgorazione. Salire le scale per la prima volta, guardare gli spalti gremiti “in ogni ordine di posto”, gridare insieme agli altri “E ‘vvi lloco” all’apparire del primo calciatore dalle scale del sottopassaggio, mi ha segnato in maniera indelebile. Di quei colori mi sono innamorato e la maglia azzurra è diventata una seconda pelle. La premessa era d’obbligo, ma ora veniamo ai fatti. Era il Napoli di Vinicio (‘o lione), brasiliano di Belo Horizonte che, dopo aver militato nel Napoli tra il 1955 e il 1960, era ritornato a Napoli da allenatore. Era un allenatore diverso per i canoni del tempo. Primo in Italia a rinnegare il catenaccio e il contropiede e a seguire il calcio totale all’olandese. Nel primo anno alla guida del Napoli portò la squadra al terzo posto. Nel campionato 1974-75 il Napoli dava spettacolo e sembrava l’anno giusto per festeggiare finalmente il primo scudetto della nostra storia. Siamo nel dicembre del 1974, la Juventus si presenta al San Paolo con un solo punto di vantaggio sugli azzurri. E’ l’occasione buona per superare la Vecchia Signora! Il risultato finale fu segnato purtroppo da quello che successe in settimana. Napoli impegnato in coppa Uefa in Cecoslovacchia contro il Banik Ostrava a cercare di ribaltare il risultato dell’andata che ci aveva visto sconfitti in casa per 2 a 0. Squadra titolare in campo, ad eccezione del solo Clerici, campo pesantissimo e un gol iniziale del Napoli che ci portarono a fare una partita all’attacco per tutti i 90 minuti. Il risultato finale ci penalizzò (per la cronaca finì 1-1), la squadra rimase bloccata in aeroporto e ritornò a Napoli solo il venerdi. Con queste premesse il risultato fu quasi scontato, ma nonostante il punteggio “tennistico” i ragazzi uscirono a testa altissima e il pubblico apprezzò molto la squadra ed il suo coraggio; in un’intervista successiva Giuseppe Bruscolotti dichiarò: “Che soddisfazione fu per noi uscire tra gli applausi pur avendo preso sei goal!”. Come sarebbe andata senza la partita in Cecoslovacchia? Forse i tempi non erano ancora maturi, ma quello di Vinicio fu sicuramente uno dei Napoli più belli della storia.
