Il Consiglio Federale ha condiviso la volontà della Lega Nazionale Dilettanti di far ripartire i campionati della stagione sportiva 2020-2021 di Eccellenza maschile e femminile di calcio a 11 e i campionati maschili e femminili di Serie C-C1 di calcio a 5. Il via libera definitivo (quindi anche agli allenamenti collettivi), subordinato alla prioritaria tutela della salute, sarà dato dal Presidente federale Gravina, d’intesa con i vice presidenti Calcagno e Dal Pino, una volta recepite le indicazioni specifiche della LND sui format a valle della riunione del Consiglio Direttivo di Lega del prossimo 10 marzo. La FIGC ha inoltre accolto le istanze della Lega Dilettanti in ordine ad un’ampia deroga al format dei campionati dilettantistici, a partire dal blocco delle retrocessioni ma con la salvaguardia del merito sportivo per le promozioni ai campionati nazionali di riferimento. Per quanto riguarda gli impegni di carattere economico, da destinare ai club che riprenderanno l’attività, la FIGC ha fatto sapere che attenderà le misure contenute nell’imminente “Decreto Sostegno” predisposto dal Governo.
“Il Consiglio Federale ha condiviso all’unanimità la volontà di ripresa della Lega Nazionale Dilettanti e dei suoi club – ha commentato con soddisfazione il numero uno della LND Cosimo Sibilia – ora spetta al nostro direttivo fare la necessaria sintesi delle proposte di tutte le regioni. Come LND abbiamo tutto l’interesse nel riprendere a giocare, perché è la nostra mission e perché lo dobbiamo alla passione sconfinata di migliaia di tesserati. Ripartire con i campionati regionali di vertice sarà un segnale di speranza per tutto il movimento del calcio di base”.
