In tempi di pandemia e di distanziamento sociale, la mancanza del contatto fisico si fa sentire.
Da quanto tempo non abbracciamo o ci lasciamo abbracciare?
Il contatto fisico fa bene a tutti e a tutte, è un toccasana contro lo stress e capace di rafforzare il sistema immunitario.
Leggevo alcuni articoli scientifici, dove ci si domanda quali potrebbero essere le strategie più efficaci per compensare la perdita del contatto fisico.
Sembra che una delle alternative più indicate sia l’attività fisica. In particolare, lo yoga perché stimola con opportune pressioni i recettori sottocutanei che inviano segnali elettrici al sistema nervoso centrale invitandolo ad abbassare i livelli di cortisolo, l’ormone dello stress che indebolisce le difese immunitarie. Mentre si abbassa il cortisone, le cellule nervose cominciano a rilasciare ormoni benefici, come la serotonina e l’ossitocina, anche noti rispettivamente come l’ormone del buon umore e dell’amore. Ecco perché dopo un abbraccio ci si sente meglio.
La nostra Simona Di Lorenzo, in arte Simona Charandyal Kaur, insegnante yoga kundalini, sottolinea che:“L’abbraccio è un gesto che veicola l’affetto, la protezione, il calore ed una serie di emozioni positive sin dalla nascita e per tutta la vita. Già pochi minuti dopo il parto, la mamma trasmette protezione e calore al neonato abbracciandolo. Crescendo i bambini sperimentano gli abbracci, consolatori nei momenti di difficoltà e quelli affettivi durante le coccole, in famiglia e/o nel gruppo del pari quando compaiono i primi amici. Poi in adolescenza si scoprono gli abbracci nella relazione sentimentale e quelli connotati di significato sessuale, ma in ogni caso gli abbracci hanno un grande potere benefico”.
