Dopo 3 risultati utili consecutivi si è fermato il cammino del Portici: nell’anticipo di sabato al ‘San Ciro’ la formazione di mister Panico è caduta sotto i colpi dell’Andria andata a segno con Cristaldi, Avantaggiato e Monaco.
Una brutta battuta d’arresto per gli azzurri, che non può, però, cancellare i progressi fatti finora, anche in virtù dei calciatori recuperati dagli infortuni (fra gli altri capitan Onda tornato in campo dopo 125 giorni) e in vista dei due prossimi impegni ravvicinati, come sottolineato dal trainer porticese: “Sapevamo – ha dichiarato mister Panico – di dover affrontare una squadra già forte di suo e che attraversa un buon momento di forma, una formazione dal grande potenziale e reduce da sette risultativi positivi consecutivi. Sabato, poi, l’essere passati subito in svantaggio ci ha creato diverse problematiche. Di questa partita salvo la dignità con cui abbiamo giocato: in queste occasioni può capitare di prendere grandissime imbarcate, invece siamo rimasti in gara, i ragazzi hanno dato tutto. Mi dispiace che, al di là del valore degli avversari, che hanno portato a casa i tre punti in modo meritato, forse gli episodi ci hanno puniti proprio nel momento in cui stavamo uscendo dal contraccolpo del gol subito a freddo: una decisione diversa su quel possibile rigore a Guadagni, l’errore fatto in fase di costruzione di ripartenza che ha portato al secondo gol, che di fatto ci ha tagliato le gambe. Avevamo di fronte la miglior difesa del campionato e di nostro abbiamo creato meno occasioni rispetto ad altre partite. Anche in occasione dell’altro gol abbiamo commesso un’ingenuità e sono errori che non possiamo permetterci. Il nostro obiettivo è cercare di mantenere la categoria con tutte le nostre forze. Sappiamo che possiamo fare di più, essere più incisivi rispetto a determinate occasioni viste con l’Andria. È una gara che ci serve come ulteriore esperienza da portare nelle prossime gare. Avevamo diversi elementi fuori che sono rientrati in gruppo ma che, naturalmente, recupereranno la condizione ottimale quanti più minuti metteranno nelle gambe. Ora ci aspettano due trasferte, sulla carta entrambe problematiche: andiamo ad Altamura mercoledì e poi domenica 7 a Molfetta. Sappiamo cosa dobbiamo fare. Giocare sempre a testa alta e raggiungere col lavoro l’obiettivo prefissato. Obiettivo per il quale la nostra squadra è competitiva. Se riusciremo a raggiungere la salvezza prima dell’ultima giornata, avremo fatto qualcosa di straordinario. Il nostro girone è altamente competitivo, le squadre si rinforzano continuamente, anche in virtù dei tempi lunghi del mercato. In più non dobbiamo sottovalutare che il virus condiziona non poco la disputa di partite e allenamenti. Al di là di tutto, però, noi dobbiamo ripartire da questa prestazione, prendendo gli aspetti positivi che pure ci sono stati e cercando di lavorare su quelli che non hanno funzionato”.
