Archiviato il pareggio ottenuto mercoledì in casa del Gladiator, il Giugliano a causa di cinque calciatori risultati positivi al Covid-19, ha richiesto ed ottenuto il rinvio delle seguenti due gare di campionato contro la corazzata Monterosi (domenica scorsa) e contro il Sassari Calcio Latte Dolce (14 febbraio). Gli allenamenti pertanto sono sospesi e calciatori in quarantena in attesa di un nuovo ciclo di tamponi. Per quanto riguarda il calciomercato, a Giugliano è arrivato un nuovo direttore sportivo, Enzo Agliano che prende il posto del dimissionario Francesco Mango e vengono subito ingaggiati tre nuovi calciatori: il difensore Nicola Longobardo ed il centrocampista Paolo Ciardulli, entrambi classe 2002 e provenienti dalla Casertana, mentre nella giornata di venerdì è arrivato, alla corte di mister Imbimbo, il centrocampista Marco Castagna, classe ’98, cresciuto nel settore giovanile del Parma. Per due anni ha vestito la casacca della Virtus Entella maturando oltre quaranta presenze con la formazione Primavera, successivamente ha giocato in Serie C con Modena e Lucchese, poi il passaggio alla Cavese. A fine gennaio viene ingaggiato dall’Afragolese ma l’avventura con la casacca rossoblè dura appena una settimana e così patron Palma lo strappa alla concorrenza portandolo a Giugliano. Nel frattempo, come già visto nella sfida contro il Gladiator, mister Imbimbo ha deciso di reintegrare in rosa, schierandoli titolari, i difensori Mariano Stendardo, Andrea De Siena ed il centrocampista Umberto Otranto, oltre a loro sono stati reintegrati anche gli attaccanti Alessandro Carnicelli e Alan Arario. Infine, buone notizie arrivano dall’infermeria, dove il capitano Raffaele Poziello sta continuando a sottoporsi alle terapie e tra dieci giorni, potrà iniziare finalmente la riabilitazione, tempo massimo un mese e finalmente potrà aiutare la squadra a cercare di salvare la categoria.
