Se parliamo di serpenti e vogliamo associarli al mondo del calcio non possiamo non pensare allo stile di gioco di un grande che ha calcato i manti di gioco Italiani, e questi è Youri Djorkaeff.
Youri era soprannominato il serpente per la sua corporatura longilinea e magra con una estrema capacità di sgusciare tra gli avversari e di consentire quella superiorità numerica a vantaggio della propria squadra.
Il Franco Armeno fu acquistato dall’ Inter nel 1996 preso dal Psg e con i nerazzurri fu subito amore conquistando i tifosi con giocate e gol da vero campione, il ruolo di trequartista gli calzava a pennello in un’ Inter di Moratti che si prestava a fare acquisti di lì a poco stratosferici
Chi ama il calcio non può dimenticare quel gol stupendo che fece a Milano contro la Roma in campionato in rovesciata sul lato corto dell’area di rigore insaccando nel set sul secondo palo.
Quel gesto atletico è considerato uno dei gol più belli nella storia del campionato Italiano e fu messo sulla copertina degli abbonamenti dell’Inter l’anno seguente.
Djorkaeff nel 1997 fece coppia con Ronaldo (Luiz Nazario da Lima ) : con i neroazzurri conquistò la coppa Uefa e solo per scandalo calcistico non vinse il campionato Italiano di Serie A
.
Ma l’apice del suo successo lo ebbe con la Nazionale Francese con la quale vinse il Campionato del Mondo del 1998 in casa e gli Europei nel 2000 ai danni dell’Italia.
Per concludere Youri è stato un giocatore tecnicamente straordinario con una visione di gioco e capacità di fornire assist ai compagni come pochi, grande protagonista di quella Serie A di metà anni 90 che oggi tutti rimpiangiamo
